Newark Belvedere have closed the gap at the top of the Spec & Fix Premier league to three points, but the leaders, Moorlands & Railway C have two games in hand. Newark were at home to Lincoln Snooker Club B, this could have been a tricky fixture but they came through winning 6-1. Dale got Newark off to a good start defeating Glenn 77-35 with a break of 43 and in the second frame Dale won 53-17. Matt extended the lead to 3-0 when he also defeated Glenn 72-33. Matt then faced Calum for his second frame and he made it 4-0 winning 49-12. Dave also faced Calum but the result went the same way to the home team with Dave winning 69-39. Rob for the Belvedere played the two remaining frames both against Chris, the first frame went to the way of Chris and with the help of a 55 break it was the away sides only point on the night winning 71-19. The finals frame of the evening saw Rob gain revenge for the early defeat defeating Chris 61-4 Lincoln Snooker Club C have now won seven of their games played and I am sure if they could get Paul and Wayne playing weekly they would have won more frames and that is no disrespect on the other players. Paul put the Snooker Club side one up defeating Bradley 61-16. Bryan Slack levelled the scores with a comfortable 69-16 win against Brian Lawson. Dave put the Showboats in front for the first time when he defeated Matt 69-1. Paul made It 2-2 with a 63-26 victory over Joe and then Dave restored the lead for the Newark side wiyh a 65-15 win over Brian Lawson. Back came the Snooker Club side and Matt played well in defeating Bryan Slack 52-38. The final frame also went to the Snooker Club team when Brian Lawson won a black ball frame 50-43 to complete a very good away win. Spec & Fix Premier League Match Report Newark Belvedere have reduced the gap at the top of the Spec & Fix Premier League to just three points. However, leaders Moorlands & Railway C still hold a strong position with two games in hand. Belvedere were at home to Lincoln Snooker Club B in what could have been a tricky fixture, but they produced a convincing 6–1 victory. Dale got Newark off to the perfect start with a 77–35 win over Glenn, compiling a solid break of 43. He followed this up by taking the second frame 53–17 to put Belvedere 2–0 ahead. Matt extended the lead to 3–0 with a 72–33 win, again against Glenn, before making it 4–0 after comfortably defeating Calum 49–12 in his second frame. Dave continued the dominance for the home side, beating Calum 69–39 to se-cure the match. Rob played the final two frames against Chris. Chris earned the visitors their on-ly point of the night, taking the sixth frame 71–19 with an excellent break of 55. However, Rob responded well in the final frame, gaining revenge with a commanding 61–4 win to seal the 6–1 result. In the other match, Lincoln Snooker Club C recorded another impressive victory, meaning they have now won seven matches this season. With more consistent appearances from Paul and Wayne, they might have secured even more frames—no disrespect to the rest of the squad. Paul gave the Snooker Club side an early lead with a 61–16 win over Bradley. Bryan Slack levelled things up for the Showboats with a comfortable 69–16 victory against Brian Lawson. Dave then put the Newark side ahead for the first time, defeating Matt 69–1. Paul responded to make it 2–2, beating Joe 63–26. Dave restored Newark’s lead once again with a 65–15 win over Brian Lawson. However, the Snooker Club side fought back strongly—Matt defeated Bryan Slack 52–38 to level the match. The final frame went down to the wire, with Brian Lawson holding his nerve to win a black-ball decider 50–43, sealing an excellent away victory for Lincoln Snooker Club C.

There was some big results in the Lincoln Security Snooker League this week and top honours go to Lincoln Snooker Club F who whitewashed their opponents Moorlands & Railway A 6-0. Glynn started the ball rolling with a 46-25 victory against Trev. Glenn made it 2-0 holding out to 58-37 win over Steve Lambert before Steve Jakes made it 3-0 when he got the better of his opponent, Nathan winning 39-28. John Griffiths played two successive fames and put his side well in front. He just got the better of Liam winning 46-38 and then he beat John Rice 53-3. The final frame saw Glynn just getting the better of Josh winning 58-45. The league front runners Lincoln Snooker Club D remain in second place after they beat Castle Ward A 5-1. George opened the scoring with a good victory over Adrian winning 60-32. Lincoln Snooker Club owner Phil made it 2-0 when he beat Rob 55-31, Castle Ward only point came when Tim beat Adam Hanson 62-27. Phil then made it two wins from two when he had a comfortable win against Adam Petty 58-2, Adam then played Stu and had a better frame but still came unstuck with Stu winning 68-33. The final frame saw Justin defeat Tim 55-10. The leaders just need four points from the remaining two matches to win the league. Hykeham B also won 5-1 and still remain four points behind the second placed team, so its still all to play for. Hykeham B played their A team, and three of the frames were close and could of gone either way. Michael opened the scoring when he defeated Steve 65-22, Mark put the B team two up when he came from behind to win a black ball frame 54-51 against Dave Coutts. Another black frame was in the third frame when competition secretary Darren beat Rob 50-44 for a 3-0 lead. Dan was the only point winner for the A team when he beat Dave Croft 71-38. Mark and Michael finished the scoring off, Mark defeated Rob 61-48 and Michael beat Dan 58-35. Lincoln Snooker Academy were at home to Lincoln Snooker Club E and they returned back to winning ways after six matches without a win. Ollie Bishell made a return to league after a lengthy lay off, but found his opponent Jack in good form, Jack took the first 56-39 and the same two players played straight after the first frame with Jack also winning 40-13. James fresh from his ventures abroad and he pulled a frame back when he defeated Phil 67-9. Jayden made it 2-2 with a 61-41 victory against Sam. The Academy side went in front for the first time when James and Phil met again and this frame was a lot closer but the result was the same with James winning on the black 53-46. The final frame saw Jayden and Sam meet again and Jayden made sure of a home team victory with a 71-27 to complete the comeback

The Cube & Triangle recorded a very good 4-2 win over second placed Moorlands & Railway B. Dan started the match off but was beaten 43-63 by Duncan. Andy Campbell made it 2-0 to the Moorlands when he got the better of his opponent Marley winning 46-58. Karl put the Cubes first point on the board when he defeated Kev 59-29. Gary levelled the scores for the home side with a good result winning 56-23 Andy Riggall. Karl put the Cube in front for the first time when he just got the better of Phil winning 61-51. Gary completed the comeback with a 65-31 victory against Duncan. Hykeham C are the winners of the Coutts Cue Snooker league 5-1 with three games to spare. Cyril, captain of Hykeham started the ball rolling when he beat Jackson 54-43.Michael made it 2-0 when he won a close encounter winning 61-53 against Dan. Peter extended the home sides lead when he defeated Matt 62-35. Paul won a close frame against Craig but held out to win 58-48. Castle Wards only point came via Matt who defeated Peter 60-29 Steve rounded the night off with a 49-27 over Craig. Lincoln Snooker Club H put a dent in Lincoln Snooker Club G promotion bid winning 4-2. Tom put the home side one up when he beat Ollie 52-40. Mark then levelled the scores with an excellent 61-19 against Clive. Tom and Ollie met for the second time on the night and this time Ollie won 60-49. Leigh levelled the scores at 2-2 when he defeated Cheeky 55-15. Clive also faced the same opponent and this time Clive won 65-24. Leigh made it two wins from two when he won a close encounter when he came from behind to 44-39 against Cheeky. With this win and that Castle Ward lost Lincoln Snooker Club H have a three point lead.
